PHYZXX is a genre-blending sonic architect born in Czechia and shaped by Toronto's rhythms and culture. What started in the city's early-2000s rave scene has hardened into something colder and heavier: driving hard techno and industrial weight welded to the melodic architecture of progressive house.
The result is music built for the back half of the night. Relentless low end, corroded metallic texture, and melodies that surface just long enough to pull you under again. Dark elegance, dystopian and alienesque.
Releases have landed on Black Hole Recordings, Magik Muzik, Pure Progressive, Progressive Vibes Music, Beathacker, TranZone and Bishops Bloc, alongside a steady stream of reworks and bootlegs that have taken on everyone from deadmau5 to Enya.
Away from the studio: photography, skiing and travel, all of which feed back into the visual world of the project.
